Before you verify WeChat
Friend verification is common
WeChat may require an existing user, typically one whose account is several months old and in good standing, to scan your QR code. Each helper can only assist a limited number of times, so ask someone who hasn't verified others recently. Noir SMS can't complete this step for you.
Add other ways to log in
WeChat leans heavily on the phone number for login and recovery. After setup, open the account security settings, link an email address, and switch the mobile number to one you'll keep when you can.

Can I register WeChat without a Chinese phone number?
Yes. WeChat accepts numbers from many countries, including +1 numbers from the US and Canada and +44 numbers from the UK. The registration code arrives by SMS. The bigger hurdle is the security check that may follow, which can require a friend's help. A Noir SMS number handles the SMS part, and you're refunded if the code never arrives.
Why does WeChat ask a friend to verify me?
WeChat uses friend-assisted verification to cut down on fake and spam accounts. An existing user scans the QR code shown during your registration and confirms they know you. The requirements for the helper, such as account age and how often they've helped others recently, are set by WeChat and can change without notice.
WeChat accepted my code but registration still failed. Can I get a refund?
Sometimes WeChat accepts the code but blocks the sign-up for security reasons and asks you to try again later. Because the SMS was delivered, Noir SMS can't refund it automatically; refunds apply when no code arrives. Waiting, using a stable connection and having friend verification ready usually helps on the next attempt.
Can I log in to WeChat later without the rented number?
Often, yes, if you set a password and link an email. WeChat lets you sign in with your WeChat ID or email and password, though it may still ask for SMS verification on a new device. Changing the account's mobile number to one you keep long-term is the safest option.
Is using a virtual number for WeChat allowed?
