Rent a LINE number
Choose LINE in Noir SMS and pick a country. The number is reserved for you for 20 minutes.
LINE, the messaging app widely used in Japan, Taiwan and Thailand, requires a phone number to create a new account on a smartphone. It sends a verification code by SMS, and if the number has been used with LINE before, it may show that existing account and ask whether it's yours. Noir SMS rents you a carrier mobile number from the US, Canada or UK for 20 minutes and displays the incoming code in your dashboard. LINE links one phone number to one account, so registering an email address and password right after sign-up is what keeps the account recoverable.
Yes. LINE creates new smartphone accounts with a phone number and an SMS verification code. Rent a US, Canada or UK number for LINE on Noir SMS, enter it on LINE's sign-up screen, and copy the code that appears in your dashboard. Then register an email and password so you can transfer the account later. No SMS within 20 minutes means an automatic refund.
One number, one LINE verification. Pay only for what you use.

Open LINE, tap the sign-up option, select the country and enter the number, then allow LINE to send the SMS.
Enter the code from your dashboard. If LINE shows an existing profile linked to the number, choose to create a new account, then set your display name and password.
Recycled numbers may still be linked to an old LINE account. Don't try to restore it; choose to create a new account instead, which gives you a clean profile on that number.
In Settings > Account, register an email address and password. LINE for PC and account transfers depend on these, and you won't have the rented number later.
LINE moves accounts to a new device with a QR code from the old phone or with your registered credentials. Back up chat history to Google Drive or iCloud first, since chats don't automatically move with the account.
Yes. LINE accepts numbers from many countries, including +1 numbers from the US and Canada and +44 numbers from the UK. The number just needs to receive LINE's SMS code. Noir SMS mobile numbers usually work, and if LINE doesn't send the code within 20 minutes, the charge goes back to your balance automatically.
Yes. LINE for PC and Mac lets you log in by scanning a QR code with the LINE app on your phone, or with your registered email and password, and may ask you to confirm the login on your phone. That's why registering an email right after sign-up matters when the number is temporary.
Your account keeps working on your phone. If someone later registers LINE with the same number, they may see your profile offered or create a new account that unlinks the number from yours. Registering an email and password, and later moving to a number you keep, makes sure you can always get back in.
Yes, while the number is active. If LINE resends the code within the 20-minute window, the new SMS appears on the same number in your dashboard. After that, the number returns to the provider. For future logins, rely on your email, password and LINE's QR transfer rather than the number.
For your own account, yes. Noir SMS numbers may not be used for bulk or automated sign-ups, spam, impersonation or getting around a LINE restriction. LINE limits accounts that add lots of strangers or send unsolicited messages, so use the account as you would any personal one and follow LINE's terms.
