Rent a Battle.net number
Select Battle.net (Blizzard) in Noir SMS and choose a US, Canada or UK number. It's reserved for 20 minutes.
You create a Battle.net account with an email address, then may be asked to attach a phone number using Blizzard's SMS Protect. Some games and features have required it, and Blizzard confirms the number with a code by text. After that, SMS Protect lets you reset your password, unlock the account or remove an authenticator by text message, which makes the number central to account security. Blizzard has said it doesn't support some number types, such as VoIP. A Noir SMS number is a carrier mobile number reserved for 20 minutes, so it can receive the initial code.
Sometimes. Battle.net accounts start with an email, but Blizzard may require a phone number through SMS Protect for certain games or features, confirmed by an SMS code. A Noir SMS number from the US, UK or Canada can receive it, refunded if no SMS arrives in 20 minutes. SMS Protect also handles account recovery, so a number you keep is the better choice.
One number, one Battle.net verification. Pay only for what you use.

In your Battle.net account settings, or when a game prompts you, add the phone number with the right country code. Blizzard texts a code.
Copy the code from your dashboard into Battle.net. Set up the Battle.net Authenticator app and keep your email secure for long-term protection.
SMS Protect lets you recover or unlock your account by text. If that number is a recycled rental, you lose that recovery path, so replace it with your own number while you still have access.
Blizzard has said VoIP and some prepaid numbers aren't supported for SMS Protect. Noir SMS numbers are carrier mobile numbers, so they usually work, but if Blizzard rejects one, cancel it or wait for the automatic refund.
Blizzard ties phone numbers to accounts partly to discourage cheating and disruptive behavior. Using virtual numbers to return after a ban, make throwaway accounts for smurfing or cheating, or for payment checks is prohibited by Blizzard and by Noir SMS.
Blizzard may require a phone number through SMS Protect for certain games or features, and to add security to your account. The number is confirmed by SMS and can then be used to recover your account, unlock it or remove an authenticator. Requirements have changed over time and vary by game.
Often, yes. Blizzard says it doesn't support VoIP and some prepaid numbers, but Noir SMS numbers come from mobile carriers and usually pass. If Blizzard rejects the number or no code arrives within 20 minutes, the charge is refunded automatically and you can try another number.
It's fine for the initial confirmation, but not as your long-term SMS Protect number. Noir SMS numbers are recycled, so you'd lose the ability to recover or unlock your account by text. Add the Battle.net Authenticator and switch to your own number for anything you plan to keep.
Not to evade bans, cheat, smurf or create accounts in bulk. Blizzard's phone requirements exist partly to hold players accountable, and getting around them violates Blizzard's terms and Noir SMS's acceptable use rules. Our numbers are for verifying your own legitimate account.
Check the country code and request the code again; your Noir SMS number can receive another SMS while it's still active. If no message arrives within 20 minutes, your balance is refunded automatically, or cancel two minutes after purchase for an instant refund and try a different number.
